Graduate Polytechnic School, Stockholm, Sweden, 1896, Royal Academy Fine Arts, Stockholm, 1899. Studied Florence, Italy, 1900-1902, in Paris, France, with Injalbert, 1905. Doctor of Arts, Chicago Law School, 1920.
Came to the United States, 1880. Began as newsboy, at Ottumwa, Iowa, at 13. Later employed in factories.
Started for Europe to study art at 21.
Tramped to New York, crossed ocean as coal stoker, and worked way through technical schools and Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Stockholm. Proprietor private school for sculpture, in Paris, France, 1907-1909.
Employed by City of Gothenburg on plans for public square, 1914-1915. Lectured at Upsala (Sweden) University, spring 1924.
Has made portrait busts of many noted personages, including Crown Prince and Princess of Sweden.
