David Leake

Leake, David was born on June 26, 1935 in Argentina. Son of William Alfred and Dorothy Violet (Frostick) Leake.

Licentiate in Theology, St. Johns College, Nottingham, England, 1959.

Career

Born on 26 June 1935 to missionary parents serving in Argentina, he was ordained in 1959 and began his career with a curacy in Watford. In 1963 he went to South America where he served the Church as a Missionary eventually rising to the Episcopate. In retirement he continues to serve the church as an Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Norwich. and also serves as a consultant to the Argentine Bible Society specialising in the Toba language translation of the Toba (oeste) New Testament.

On retirement he was honoured by the Queen with the Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
