He is an English actor, appearing on stage and television He appeared in many stage productions, including A Midsummer"s Night Dream, and toured with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Michaels appeared in the television series Heartbeat (as Doctor Neil Bolton).
He also appeared in the first episode of Inspector Morse, "The Dead of Jericho."
He also appeared in the comedy television series As Time Goes By (as Harry, the police officer boyfriend — later fiancé — of "Sandy").
David played the aspirant Prime Minister, Brian Worsley, in the 2011 drama Hidden.
