Career
Printz is a product of the AIK youth system. He moved to the United States for the 2000-2001 season, joining AWHL side Great Falls Americans. Back in his native Sweden, he played in 37 games for his hometown side AIK in the 2001-2002 SHL season, before making the move to Finland for the following campaign, splitting the season between Liiga clubs HPK and Ilves.
The 2003-2004 season saw him return to AIK, now playing in Sweden"s second-tier league Allsvenskan.
Drafted 225th overall in the 2001 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, Printz came over to North America prior to the 2004-2005 AHL season. He played in 50 regular season games and dressed in 1 playoff game for the Calder Cup Champion Philadelphia Phantoms.
The following season he played in 80 games for the Phantoms and played in his first National Hockey League game after being called up late in the 2005-2006 season. In 2006-2007, he saw more National Hockey League action as he played 12 more games with the Flyers.
Following the season, he signed with Djurgårdens IF, where he played until the end of the 2011-2012 campaign.
Printz took his game to Slovakia for the 2012-2013 season, turning out for KHL side The Human Context Slovan Bratislava, but after a short stint (one game played), Austria turned out to be his next destination. He joined Dornbirner European Commission of the EBEL for the remainder of the season. He started the 2013-2014 season with KalPa of Finland"s Liiga, but transferred to Germany during the season, signing with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers of the top flight Deutsche Eishockey Liga.
In 2015-2016, he is still skating for the Ice Tigers.
