Career
Tangata-Toa previously played for Hull Kingston Rovers and the Crusaders in the European Super League. Tangata-Toa, in 2014 he holds the role of assistant coach of the NSW cup side at Penrith Panthers Rugby League Club, a full-time squad. He was player-coach of the Windsor Wolves in the Bundaberg Red Cup in 2011.
In 2012 he was assistant coach for the NSW Cup Windsor Wolves side, and was assistant coach to the Penrith Panthers New York City Holden Cup in the 2013 season.
He was promoted to head coach of the Panthers New York City side in Round 7 of the 2013 season, as former New York City coach, Garth Brennan went on to coach the Windsor Wolves New South Wales Cup squad.
