David Timothy was born on 2 January in 1946 in Circleville, Ohio, United States. Son of Verneal Marshall and Lucile Frances (May) Thomas.

Education

David studied at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in sociology with a minor in speech communication in 1969.

From 1969 to 1970 he was a student of the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, United States.

He also studied marketing education at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, to complete requirements for teacher certification.
