Career
He is currently the manager of the Eastern Leagues"s Akron RubberDucks, the Associate of Arts level minor-league affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. He is also serving as the catching coordinator within the Indians system. From 1998 to 2000, Wallace was a two-sport athlete at Vanderbilt University, playing both football, as a backup quarterback, and baseball, as a catcher.
Wallace decided to concentrate on baseball in 2001, and did not play football.
From 2002 to 2008, Wallace played in Minor League Baseball with the Captains, Mahoning Valley Scrappers, Kinston Indians, Akron Aeros, Buffalo Bisons, and Columbus Clippers. 2011 was Wallace"s first and only season at the helm of Mahoning Valley, replacing former Indian Travis Fryman.
The team finished with a 41-34 record. 2012 was Wallace"s first and only season at the helm of the Captains, replacing the new manager of the Scrappers Ted Kubiak.
2013 was Wallace"s first and only season at the helm of the Carolina Leagues"s Carolina Mudcats, the high A level minor-league affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.
2014 was Wallace"s first season at the helm of the Eastern Leagues"s Akron Rubberducks, the Associate of Arts level minor-league affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.
