Career
He has been involved in radio, marketing, advertising and music since 1974. The Longitudinal Redundancy Check is still currently on the air and was the subject of a 2004 documentary by filmmaker Marissa Acosta. He later became the host of the station"s Friday Night Live program until leaving the station in 1980.
His first foray into commercial radio was on the FM station WBCN-Boston, from 1978 to 1983, where he also served as production director
A 1983 move to the west coast led to a 15 year tenure at KOME-San Jose/San Francisco voted Rolling Stone Radio Station Of The Year in 1988 and 1990. Subsequent stops included KLLC/Alice Radio-San Francisco and the San Jose stations KCNL/Channel 104.9, KUFX/KFOX and KSJO, where he served as the final program director before the station was switched to a Spanish music format by Clear Channel Communications in 2004.
In 2006, Dave opened RFW Media, a business consulting firm specializing in radio. Most recently, David has moved RFW Media and RFW back to New England.

lieutenant started podcasting in 2006. The show was featured on the now defunct Columbia Broadcasting System internet radio station KYOU-Radio from 2006 to 2011. The inaugural show Hal 1 - I"m Afraid Dave, named after the nickname for the RFW computer brain, debuted on Saturday, September 30, 2006.
