Watt, David Alexander was born in December 1865 in at Maidstone, England. Son of David Gilkison and Jane (Powell) Watt.

Education

Educated Maidstone, 1874-1879, Clapton College, London and London Institute 1879-1885 (graduate).

Career

Engaged on design and erection of bribes and structural ironwork for about 6 years, and on canalisation by fixed and movable dams of rivers in the Ohio Valley, Texas, Wisconsin, and elsewhere. Special New York delegate International Congress of Navgiation, Milan, Italy, 1905. Investigated waterways of Europe for the State Engineer Department, 1905.

Now in charge of river improvements for new barge canal system of New York State. United States assistant engineer.
