Rogers, David Banks was born on September 13, 1868 in Paw Paw, Lee Company, Illinois, United States. Son of Joze W. and Lura Lestina (Wilson) Rogers.

Graduate Marysville (Kansas) High School, 1887. Special studies University of Kansas and other universities (non-graduate).

Career

Began as teacher public schools, 1888. Specialized in various education institutions and in field research. Member of staff Santa Barbara Museum National History, 1925.

Curator, 1930-1939.

Retired. Discoverer (1931) of specifically new Pliocen Age bird Phalacrocorax rogersi (Howard).
