Taught school and farmed for several years. Treasurer, bookkeeper and general agent Antrim Shovel Company, and its successor, Treadwell & Company, 1857-1864. In company with George R. Carter, began manufacturer of apple parers, of which was inventor under firm name of D. H. Goodell & Company, the business now conducted as the Goodell Company.
Member N.H. House of Representatives, 1876-1878. Member State Board of Agriculture, 1876-1883. Member Governor’s Council, 1883-1885.
