Served on Mexican Border. Second in command Lieutenant, cavalry, United States Army, 1917. Promoted through grades to brigadier general, 1945.

Assistant chief of logistics div. on staff commander in chief United States Pacific Fleet and Pacific Ocean areas, 1943-1944. Assigned G-4, Tenth Army, September 1944.
