David S. Reasner is an American biostatistical consultant whose work has focused on statistical analysis and data management in biomedical research. David S. Reasner was born on September 25, 1960, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Willie Francis Reasner and Anna Marie Reasner. Raised in the United States, he later pursued a scientific career focused on statistics and its application to biological and medical research.
Education
Reasner earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, in 1982. He later completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, in 1988, specializing in statistical science and its applications to biological data.
Career
Following completion of his doctorate, Reasner joined the Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, where he served as a postdoctoral associate from 1988 to 1990 and subsequently as a research associate from 1990 to 1992. During this period, he also served on the institution’s Animal Care and Use Committee.
In 1992 he joined Statistics Unlimited, Inc., in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts, as a senior research associate, providing advanced statistical consulting services for biomedical and pharmaceutical research. In 1996 he became director of biostatistics and data management at Sepracor, Inc., in Marlborough, Massachusetts, overseeing statistical design, data analysis, and data management for pharmaceutical research and development programs.
