David Samuel Mendelowitz, American Cardiovascular physiologist. Achievements include discovery that the carotid sinus baroreflex resets with static carotid sinus pressures, but does not reset with pulsatile pressures; research in the characterization of ionic currents that determine the activity of aortic baroreceptors and cardiac motorneurons.
