Dazhen Wu was born on June 25, 1944, in Chuncheng, Guangdong, China.
Dazhen Wu received a Bachelor of Arts from Central Music College (now the Central Conservatory of Music) in Peking (1967). In 1980 he was studying at the University of Arizona, Tucson.
Dazhen Wu played clarinet for the Peking Ballet Symphony Orchestra. His photographs have appeared in Chinese Photographer and China Popular Photographer (1978-1979).
The photographer creates landscapes closely related to the style of Chinese traditional paintings of mountains, lakes, gardens.
