Career
Placey joined the New Jersey Devils in 2011 after ten seasons reporting for the New York Islanders. Placey is also a co-host of National Hockey League Live with Economic Journal Hradek on the National Hockey League Network and The BlackBerry All-Access Pregame show on National Hockey League.com. Her earlier television anchor work includes stops at WSIL-television in Marion, Illinois, KWWL-television in Waterloo, Iowa, WPRI-television in Providence, Rhode Island and WSVN-television in Miami, Florida.
Prior to joining MSG in the mid-1990s, she was seen on ESPN2 during the first months that it was on the air between October 1993 and mid-1995.
In 2004 and 2005, Placey filled-in as sports anchor and reporter for W National Broadcasting Company-television, the local New York National Broadcasting Company affiliate. Born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri, Deb is married to Edward Placey, an Entertainment and Sports Programming Network Senior Coordinating Producer.
They have 2 daughters, Madeline and Caroline, and a beagle dog named Lucky.
