Education
After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University, she received her Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami. She has also done work as a post-doctoral fellow at the Harvard Medical School Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
