Debra Wexler is an American entrepreneur. Education and Personal She received a degree in Slavic Linguistics from Michigan State University and is a graduate of Cornell University Falcon Japanese Language Program. Wexler started the company with $5,000 in 1982.
In 1988, sales reached $31 million.
The company had offices in Houston, Austin, Seattle, Saint Louis, and Chantilly, Virginia. In 1989 Ernst & Young Magazine"s "Entrepreneur of the Year" feature gave Wexler its Wholesale/Retail Award for the Houston and Gulf Coast Region. Wexler sold MicroComputer Power to Ameridata / General Electric Capital in 1995.
As the Texas Regional Vice President she was instrumental in growing business from $70 million in 1995 to $120 million in 1997. She resigned from General Electric Capital Information Technology Solutions at the end of 1997 to spend more time with the family.
