A 5"11" running back-kickoff returner from the University of Utah, Rodgers was the first 1,000 yard rusher in Utah history. He coached his oldest daughter"s high school powderpuff team to four consecutive wins, being the only powderpuff team in Franklin High School history to remain undefeated champions. Pro Football From 1982 to 1985, Rodgers played for the Packers.
After a one-year absence from the league, he came back and played two seasons for the San Francisco 49ers from 1987–1988 and was only used as a kickoff returner.
He was awarded an on-roster with the 49ers in Super Bowl XXIII. He was the Sports Director/Anchor for KCRA television (National Broadcasting Company) In Sacramento since 1997 until In January 2016, Rodgers was arrested in Stockton, California for driving under the influence of alcohol.
