Quotations: “Joy is behind my writing and photography. All as¬pects of plant life inspire me, from details of biology, shapes, textures, colors, and scents to uses and mean¬ings. My aim is to communicate the importance of plants—ecological, cultural, economic, and aes¬thetic—in ways that combine the practical and scien¬tifically accurate with the inspirational in terms of words and images.”
