He graduated from Ivanovo Military-Political School in 1945.
From 1946, he was a lieutenant of the reserve.
He distinguished himself when crossing the Dnieper River on September 30, 1943 in the vicinity of the village of Keleberda (Kremenchuk, Poltava region, Ukrainian SSR) and in the battle for the bridgehead.
On the house where Guselnikov lived (January 9 Street, 49), a memorial plaque (2005) was erected.
