Denkuro I was born in 1662.

Education

Denkuro I became Kanzaburo IV in 1678 and later changed his name to Denkuro. Was the proprietor of the Nakamuraza theater in Edo. Excelled in playing warriors' parts and dancing. In his late years, he was the best player of heroic roles in Edo.
