Career
Canfield runs camps both in the United States and also internationally in Europe specializing in player development. Canfield has had the privilege to work with many top current and former Junior, National Collegiate Athletic Association, and National Hockey League coaches as a player and coach. 2000-2001 - Canfield appeared on three rosters in the OPJHL for Ajax, Cobourg, and Aurora for combined total of 368 minutes.
2001-2002 - Canfield appeared on three rosters in the CEHL for Downriver, Jackson, and Bay County.
2002-2003 - Number playing record. 2003-2004 - Canfield made his National Collegiate Athletic Association playing debut as sophomore for Saint Anselm College appearing in 148 minutes.
2004-2005 - Number playing record. 2005-2006 - Number playing record.
2006-2007 - Canfield played for Findlay Freedom of the North Eastern Hockey League.
Canfield was named player of the week for December 9 and 10. On December 12, 2006, Canfield was made history by being the first Findlay Freedom player to get called up to a higher level to Dayton Bombers of the ECHL. Dennis was released by the Toledo Storm on January 10, 2007. 2009-2010 (General Practice:51 West:22 L:26 OTL:3 GF:248 Georgia:264 PTS:47) 3rd Place, Lost Semi-final.
The Jets qualified for the playoffs and the teams Captain Nate Hughes was named the League Most Valuable Player. He has since attended SUNYAC Morrisville (National Collegiate Athletic Association DIII).
2010-2011 (General Practice:42 West:27 L:12 OTL:3 GF:247 Georgia:194 PTS:57) 3rd place overall GMJHL. South Division Title Lost Quarter-final. The Jets became the 1st American team to participate in the Greater Metro Hockey League.

Canfield graduated from the University of Findlay with a Bachelor"s Degree in Business Administration and minors in Hospitality and Marketing.
