Delegate Favero was born in Sydney of Italian migrants from Cadore. Delegate Favero"s work explores the social and personal interrelationship between human and "natural" worlds, utilizing experimental media to evoke the ways in which these underlying interrelationships endure beyond our attempts to deny them.
His recent work is particularly interested in exploring the way one might live in a world increasingly haunted by the unacknowledged relationship between the human world and its habitat and how these hauntings reveal themselves as involuntary embodiments of the past in the present and the present in the future.
His work has been extensively exhibited internationally in individual exhibitions for museums and galleries such as Sprengel Museum, Hannover, Münchner Stadtmuseum, Munich, ViaFarini, Milan and Neue Galerie, Graz and included in group exhibitions such as Kriegszustand, Battle of the Nations War Memorial, Leipzig 1996, Cinemas du futur, Euralille, 2004, Videonale, Kunstmuseum Bonn, 2005, Artescienza: Spazio deformato, Casa dell"Architettura, Rome, 2006, Biennial of Australian Art, AGSA, 2008, International Biennial of Contemporary Art of Seville, 2008, Imagining MediaZKM, Centre for Art and Media, Karlsruhe, 2009, International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, 2009, Sydney Film Festival, 2011, and forthcoming in GLOBALE, Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie, 2015.
