Background

Dennis Morrison was born on October 29, 1949, in Miami, Florida. He is the son of Buzz, who worked in sales, and Bettie, a homemaker, Morrison.

Education

Dennis Morrison studied at Clear Creek High School. He graduated from Queens College of the City University of New York, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1975. Besides, he attended the University of Houston at Clear Lake City. There he received a Master of Arts in 1989. Morrison also earned a Doctor of Education at the University of Houston in 1993.

Career

Since 1990, Dennis Morrison held the position of a professor in the History department at San Jacinto College South until 2010. In 1995 he also started to serve as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston.

In addition to his educational career, Morrison is a chief executive officer at Survey Publications since 1997, a volunteer at the Salvation Army, and a president at the Denmor Services Incorporated since 1975. He is also a writer and a co-editor of four history anthologies and contributor to periodicals.

• Dennis Morrison is best known as a writer and educator. He taught at San Jacinto College South for twenty years. As a writer, he is currently the author of five works.
