Currently the richest person in Sri Lanka, he is the founding Chairman and Managing Director of Vallibel One Group, which is a holding company with investments in financial services, tile and sanitary ware manufacturing, and leisure sectors through its subsidiaries L B Finance Public Limited Company, Royal Ceramics Lanka Public Limited Company group and Greener Waters Limited. lieutenant holds a 14.99% stake in Sampath Bank Public Limited Company.
Dhammika Perera concurrently holds several other positions in both private and public sector. These include, Chairman of Sampath Bank Public Limited Company, Vallibel Finance Public Limited Company, Vallibel Power Erathna Public Limited Company, The Fortress Resorts Public Limited Company, The Queensbury Leisure Limited and Delmege Limited.
Deputy Chairman of Hayleys Public Limited Company, Royal Ceramics Lanka Public Limited Company, Horana Plantations Public Limited Company, Lanka Ceramic Public Limited Company and LB Finance Public Limited Company. Perera enrolled in the National Diploma in Technology (Non-Destructive Testing) program at the Institute of Technology, University of Moratuwa before dropping out later to pursue his business ventures.
