Dharam Das Jaini was born on March 15, 1897, in the village of Meerut (now Uttar Pradesh, India). He had a sibling Jawala Parshad.

Education

In 1920, Dharam Das Jaini graduated from Roorkee University (now Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee) with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree.

Career

Dharam Jaini specialized in irrigation engineering. In 1952, he retired as Chief Engineer and Secretary from Punjab Government. In 1952-1960, he worked as a consultant at the Ministry of Irrigation and Power, Government of India.
