Achievements include first clarification of radical mechanisms of mechanochemical reactions of lignin involved in mechanical pulping by using lignin model compounds and ceramic ball mill, color reversion of mechanical pulps was found to be derived from these reactions. Member American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Chemical Society, Japanese Wood Research Society.
