He was attending House of Arts in Laranjeiras the second year until he booked many professional gigs in Rio de Janeiro. Luri booked his first professional acting job in 2011, playing the role of Cogsworth in a Brazilian adaptation of Beauty and The Beast by Celio Franco. Foreign his performance, Diego Luri was nominated for the Rio de Janeiro City Festival Awards as Best Featured Actor in a Play.
Luri also played a lot of roles from well-known musicals in a tribute named On Broadway, directed by Paulo Afonso de Lima and Patrícia Evans.
Besides, by the same director, he played roles in Golden Copa. From 2011 to 2013, Diego Luri played the role of Narrator in the show Little Pigs - The Musical.
Currently, he´s best known for playing Shrek in the Brazilian production of Broadway´s "Shrek the Musical". Foreign television, he recorded a version of "Young Men's Christian Association" to a Brazilian telenovela called Bite & Blow on Globo television He also hosts a television talk show called Vida e Missão, produced by television Metodista and broadcast by CNT on Saturdays at 12h30 (UTC-3).
