Career
Born 1570 in Lisboa, he arrived at the port of Buenos Aires in 1601. Blanca was the daughter of Mendo de Vasconcelos and Juana de Atouguia. Vega had contacts in various regions outside the Viceroyalty of Peru, Brazil, Lisboa, and Tucumán are some of the places where he operated his business of smuggling.
Diego de Vega, came to have great wealth, becoming the richest man in Buenos Aires, and was listed as one of the strongest traders in the world in his time.
