The firm was established in 1930 in Berlin by Oskar Möhring, who in the beginning practised law mainly as a trial lawyer, and later often became administrator in important bankruptcy and arrangement proceedings. In 1945, due to the post-war confusion, the firm moved to Munich and later on specialized in the main fields of business and commercial law. In July 1990, the firm opened its office in Leipzig, then East Germany.
Today it consists of twelve lawyers.
Its symbol is the elephant, which stands for sensitivity and the power of knowledge.
