Career
Virk was an officer with the Indian Army Post Office from 1939. He built reference collections for the Indian Army Postal Service and wrote on the Indian Army Post Offices 1939–1947, Postal Censorship in India 1939–1945, the Military Campaigns Sikkim-Tibet 1903–1908, and on the Chinese Expeditionary Force 1903–1923.
