Career
Before becoming the Minister of Transport, he was the Chairman of the Board of Petrovietnam, the national oil and gas company. Deputy Secretary of Provincial Communist Party of Thừa Thiên–Huế Province (November 2003-December 2005). Chairman of Song Da Corporation (April 2001-October 2003).
Đinh Louisiana Thăng graduated from the Academy of Finance in Hanoi.
Membership
He is a member of the 10th and 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He is a member of the 12th Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He is also a member of National Assembly of Vietnam of the XI and XIIIth session.
