Diogo Goncalves

Career

Born in Almodôvar, Portugal, Gonçalves started his career at local club Civil Defense Almodôvar in 2005. In 2007, he joined Football Club Ferreiras. In 2008, Gonçalves joined South.L. Benfica"s youth system.

On 29 May, he scored the only goal of a friendly held for the opening of F.C. United of Manchester"s Broadhurst Park.

Achievements

• On 14 February 2015, after being promoted from the youth team, Gonçalves debuted for Benfica B, as a substitute, playing 20 minutes in a home win against Oliveirense (4–1) in Segunda Liga. On 24 May 2015, Gonçalves scored his first goal for Benfica Bachelor in a home win against Vitória de Guimarães B (2–1).
