GLINKA, Dmitriy was born in 1917 in Krivoy Rog, now Dnepropetrovsk Oblast.
After World War II graduated Air Force Academy.
Since 1937 in Soviet Army. 1941-1945 flew fighters on Crimean, Southern, North-Caucasian, Fourth, Second and First Ukrainia Fronts. Expert in aerial combat: flew 350 combat missions and shot down 56 enemy planes.
1945 attended World Conference of Democratic Youth, London. Deputy, USSR Supreme Soviet of 1946 convocation.
