Career
From 1923 worked for Main Elcctr Engineer Indiana Board, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Supreme Economic Council. From 1928 at Moscow’s Timiryazcv Agric Academy. 1927 compiled first maps of European Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics showing mean annual flow, surface evaporation from river basins and mean annual flow factors.
Devised modular coefficients for calculating the flow of rivers and devised a method for calculating the fluctuation in mean annual passage of water. Collated and processed data on 178 snowand torrent-conditioned maximum river flows and worked out their qualitative and quantitative characteristics.
