She has served as the Deputy Speaker
In 2004 she was appointed by the Dalai Lama to be the Chairperson of the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy taking over from Professor South. Samdhong Rinpoche. In 2008 she was the Deputy Speaker of Tibetan Parliament in Exile.
In 2013 she was working as the Home Kalon at the Department of Home of the Central Tibetan Administration.
