Counsel for United States Government in Gaynor and Green Extradition Inquiry and Appeals thereon to Judicial Committee of Privy Council. Appointed on Royal Commission to inquire into matters concerning good government of Quebec, 1892.
Declined seat on Bench, 1895. President of Montreal Bar, 1904. Twice elected President of M‘Gill Society and President of St. Andrews Society, Montreal.
