From 1961 to 1968 he worked for the American Political Science Association in Washington, DC. During his stint as research director of the Joint Committee on Congressional Operations, Mr. Tacheron helped open House and Senate meetings to live television coverage. He also worked for the Library of Congress’s Congressional Research Service. In 1985, he joined the Elsevier Corporation as vice president for planning and development, a position from which he retired in 1990. He also wrote one book.
