Donald Walker completed his studies at Indiana University—Bloomington, receiving Bachelor of Arts in 1963. In 1964 he graduated from University of South Dakota with Master of Arts. He attended University of Wyoming from 1964 till 1965. In 1982 Donald Walker became a graduate of Michigan State University, from which he earned Doctor of Philosophy.
Mr. Walker worked at Olivet College, Olivet, MI, serving as an assistant professor beginning in 1965. Currently professor of history and chairperson of Department of History and Political Science at the same college. He was a consultant to Score Baseball Cards. Mr. Walker joined Olivet City Council, being a member since 1977, mayor pro tempore starting from 1983. In 1984 he became a member of Olivet Police Commission.
He has been a contributor to periodicals, including Popular Culture in Libraries, Social Education, International Journal of Instructional Media, Popular Music and Society, and Social Studies.
According to Mr. Walker's views, church members should be close and caring to feel each other's pains and problems. The good of the whole body of the Christian society should be put before individual needs.
Donald Walker married Julie Ann Woerpel, a library office manager, on December 20, 1960. They are the parents of two children: Theodore R., Susan J. Walker.
