Donald Nelson Duvick, American Plant breeder. Achievements include identification of intra cellular site of zein storage in maize endosperm; research in maize cytoplasmic male sterility, in plant breeding's effects on crop plant genetic diversity, in changes in productivity of hybrid maize since 1930. Pioneer Hi-Bred fellow U. London, 1968; Distinguished fellow Iowa Academy Science.
