Career
Early Years Toia signed with Real Salt Lake as the club"s first homegrown player on March 15, 2011 after spending two years in their youth system. However on February 10, 2012, Toia was released by the club without ever making a first team appearance. Following his release, he joined Football Club Tucson in the USL Premier Development League where he made 15 appearances for the club during the 2012 season.
On February 11, 2013, Toia signed with USL Pro club Phoenix Football Club for the inaugural season.
He made his professional debut on March 23, 2013 in the club"s first ever match which ended in a 2-0 loss to Los Angeles Blues. Toia finished the season being voted player of the season by Louisiana Furia Roja 1881, the club"s vocal supporters group.
Return to Master of Library Science Toia signed with Major League Soccer club Chivas United States of America on January 27, 2014. After the folding of Chivas United States of America in November 2014, Toia was selected in the 2014 Master of Library Science Dispersal Draft by the Montreal Impact.
He earned even more playing time in Canada, taking over as the Impact"s starting left back.
International Toia has represented the United States at the youth levels.
