In his political career, Sardar Dost Muhammad Khosa was first elected as Master of Public Administration when his father vacated provincial seat after taking oath as Punjab Governor in August 1999. He had also served as University of California Nazim of Churratta, Doctorate.G. Khan and later as Naib District Nazim Doctorate.G. Khan till contest of general election-2008. Dost Muhammad Khosa belongs from a Baloch tribe. He is the son of former Punjab Governor Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa. He is the youngest of three brothers.
