Herzog graduated from Emerson College in Boston.
The president of Viacom Music and Entertainment Group, he oversees Music Television, Video Hits One, Logo television, Comedy Central, Palladia, Spike, and Epix. Herzog is credited with bringing South Park, The Daily Show, and The Colbert Report to Comedy Central. He was born on born July 16, 1959.
After college, one of his early jobs was as a music-segment producer on the nationally syndicated Entertainment Tonight show in Hollywood.
He has held senior positions with United States of America Network, where he helped launch Monk, and at Fox, launching Malcolm in the Middle. Prior to his first association with Comedy Central, he had been an Associate Producer on Cable News Network and Turner Broadcasting System, and a senior manager at Music Television, and was responsible for Music Television News, Camp Music Television, The Real World, Road Rules, Beavis and Butt-head, The Music Television Movie, and The Music Television Video Music.
