Doug McKay

Career

He played pro-hockey from 1947-1948 season to the 1951-1952 for 5 different teams in 4 leagues. McKay, however, qualified to be on the cup. Doug McKay and Chris Hayes are the only players who played their only National Hockey League game in the Stanley Cup finals for a Stanley Cup winning team

Achievements

• He won the Calder Cup in 1950 with Indianapolis Capitals in AHL. He also played one game in finals for Detroit Red Wings in 1950, helping them win the Stanley Cup. McKay also did a rare double with teammate Gordon Haidy winning the Calder Cup and Stanley Cup in the same season.
