Career
King had previously been Director of Employment Framework at the Ministry of Defence. He joined the Civil Service in 1984 and, among other appointments, has been Deputy Command Secretary at Royal Air Force Strike Command. King served as Private Secretary to the Minister for the Armed Forces, 1995-1999.
