Former Director, InterAmerican Affairs Department, Central Office of Coordination and Planning of the Presidency (CORDIPLAN). General-Director, Ministry of State for Internatinal Economic Affairs. Worked towards the coordination of industrial policies and an open economy in the Latin Amercian Continent as General-Director, Economic Affairs Committee, Ministry of the Presidency and as Director of Consult and Co-ordination of the Latin American Economic System (SELA).
Vice-Minister of Development, February 1989, Minister, 1990. Member of several Presidential Commissions including Privitisation, Restructuring of State Enterprises and Social Programmes. Professional career: former Director, Venezuelan Investment Fund.
Currently, Director, Venezuelan Central Bank and President, National Council for Foreign Investment.
