Background
Astawa is the 7th child of 12 siblings from a father Jero Mangku Kunci (deceased) and mother Menkunci (deceased) in Werdhi Agung Village, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. My father gave the message "in order for life to be useful you must always learn and study", and this principle changed my entire life. Although Astawa lived far from his ancestral land, Bali, he was very strong in holding Balinese Hindu culture and customs in a multicultural society, and that attitude is still alive in him. This thinking, therefore, motivates him to focus more on developing issues of peace and conflict resolution.
