Secretary and press officer, Sozialistische Partei Österreichs (Socialist Party of Austria), Vöcklabruck, 1980-1982, and district Chairman, since 1982.

Member of Provincial Party Executive, Sozialistische Partei Österreichs (Socialist Party of Austria), Upper Austria. Member of Nationalrat, for Upper Austria, since 1983. Environmental Spokesman, Socialist Nationalrat Group, since 1987.
