Christopherson was the head college football coach for the Northwestern (Minnesota) Eagles located in Roseville, Minnesota. He held that position for the 1973 season and was the first coach to head the program As of the conclusion of the 2012 season, this ranks him #5 at Northwestern (Minnesota) in total wins and #5 at the school in winning percentage (143).
